AGL TV Commercial

The commercial was filmed at our hangar at the Sunshine Coast Airport and on location on Mount Coolum.   All the AGL Action Rescue Helicopter personnel you see in the film are doing their real jobs as pilot, crewman (and woman), paramedic and doctor.

The commercial was filmed on a very hot day just before Christmas.   The last shot was to be the helicopter flying over Mount Coolum.   But it almost didn't happen....   The cameraman director and producer walked up the hill and our chopper winched their gear down to save them having to carry it up the mountainside.   But we nearly had to abandon them as a call came in for a real emergency.  Fortunately they had just managed to take the shot, wrap the shoot and load their gear back on the helicopter!

The aim of the commercial is to highlight how any one of us might need their community rescue helicopter because when you start your day you have no idea how it might end.    We rely on voluntary donations from the community and sponsorship from businesses to keep us flying.  Hopefully the short film, funded by our principle sponsor, AGL Energy,  will encourage you to pledge a few dollars....
