D'Aguilar: 8 year old boy injured in car accident

The AGL Action Rescue Helicopter has airlifted an 8 year old boy in a critical condition to the Royal Children's Hospital in Brisbane.

The boy sustained head injuries when the car he was travelling in and another vehicle collided this afternoon.

The accident occurred at Wood St on the D'Aguilar Highway in the township of D'Aguilar.

Road paramedics and a doctor treated other patients at the scene.

The boy was in a critical but stable condition.
