Kilcoy: motorcyclist injured in collision with car VIDEO

Posted on 04-Feb-2012

A 51 year old man who came off his motorbike, rolled more than 15 metres down a steep embankment and hit a tree has been airlifted by the AGL Action Rescue Helicopter.

The man was riding with friends along the Kilcoy Monsildale Rd and was coming around a bend on the side of a hill when his motorbike and a car collided.

The impact sent the man off the road and down the embankment until a tree broke his fall.

Despite an injured leg he was able to climb back to the road where a friend called for help.

The helicopter's flight doctor and flight paramedic treated the man for a fracture to his upper leg.

He was airlifted to the Royal Brisbane Hospital in a stable condition.
