How We Are Funded

Community support

As a non-profit organisation we rely on people like you for support. Community donations form the greater portion of our contributions.

AGL Energy

AGL Energy, Australia's largest integrated renewable energy company, recognises the vital service our team provides the people of South East Queensland and is our naming rights sponsor.

AGL Energy customers

Over 40,000 AGL Energy customers donate generously through their AGL electricity bill. To donate through your electricity bill please click here to get started.

Federal Government

Rather than regular grants, the Federal Government funds one-off AGL Action Rescue projects. A $500,000 grant through the Regional Partnerships program helped us move to a purpose built hanger at the Sunshine Coast Airport.

Queensland State Government

The Queensland State Government provides an annual grant through the Department of Emergency Services.

Local Government

The shire councils throughout our region continue to acknowledge the vital service we offer our community. Assistance is provided via annual grants and consideration of specific requests for funding through arrangements such as community assistance schemes.

Community based organisations

Local community service organisations, sporting clubs and smaller groups are also great contributors. The extent of their support is truly gratifying. To mention a few:

  • Rotary, Lions, Lionesses, Probus, Quota and other service clubs
  • CRISIS groups of Murgon and Kingaroy
  • Women in Development, Sunshine Coast
  • Bundaberg Quota International

Commercial Organisations

Many businesses, small and large, contribute to AGL Action Rescue Helicopter through a variety of ways such as sponsorships, running charity events, supporting a payroll deduction program or through the donation of goods and services to assist our fundraising capabilities. We have a number of opportunities available for commercial partners and official suppliers to gain exposure in return for sponsorship of our premium assets, events and fundraising activities.  Please contact our Marketing Department to gain information on our sponsorship opportunities by phoning (07) 5458 8740.

Club Programs within commercial facilities are a real growth area with the Hervey Bay Boat Club leading the way with patron focused fundraising activities. To find out how your club may be able to implement some fund raising initiatives, please do not hesitate to give us a call.

On behalf of the people we assist, thank you to all of our supporters. If you would like to support our Service in any way please call (07) 5458 8700 or make a donation.
